Problem with Faces in iPhoto

i imported all my pictures from an external hard drive to my new macbook air, iPhoto is not detecting any faces on the imported photos?

When i have imported directly from my camera, iPhoto did detect faces? What can I do?

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), iOS 7.1.2
